Seasonal Warehouse Associate
About The Position
Herff Jones is hiring a seasonal Warehouse Associate in Arcola. The role is responsible for pulling, packing, and inspecting graduation apparel orders, while learning the operation’s production and quality standards, warehouse product lines, and processes. The associate will also learn how to train and direct new personnel. The position requires recognizing colors and cloth styles and selecting materials according to quality standards, colors, styles, and shades. The work includes physical tasks such as standing for 8–12-hour shifts and carrying, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 pounds. The work environment’s noise level is usually moderate to above moderate. Starting pay is $18 per hour.
Requirements
- Be self-motivated.
- Have adequate computer skills.
- Have reading, writing, and math skills commensurate with the job duties.
- Be able to read and comprehend written English.
- Be able to recognize colors and different cloth styles.
- Be able to work all mandatory overtime.
- Be able to carry, push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Have the physical strength and dexterity to perform essential job functions.
- Be able to stand for 8–12-hour shifts.
