About The Position

The Temporary Warehouse Associate assists with daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and warehouse organization. The role combines physical work, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials, with computer-based inventory tasks. The associate uses inventory databases and warehouse management systems to record and track materials, prepares shipments, operates pallet jacks and forklifts when qualified, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding warehouse tasks.
• Strong computer skills, including navigating databases, entering information accurately, and learning inventory management systems.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Comfort using computers, barcode scanners, and warehouse software.
• Ability to multitask, follow instructions, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, lifting and moving equipment and materials.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Receive incoming shipments, inspect materials, and document damages or discrepancies.
• Scan, count, and accurately record incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Enter, update, and track inventory in computer databases and warehouse management systems.
• Move and organize inventory throughout the warehouse, including stocking and configuration areas.
• Perform inventory counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
• Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, and UPS shipments.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts when qualified.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Follow established warehouse procedures and perform additional duties as assigned.
