Warehouse Associate (Part Time, Nights)
About The Position
Cardinal Health’s Wheeling facility supports pharmaceutical supply chain and warehouse operations. Warehouse Operations performs and controls manual or automated tasks needed to receive, store, and ship products, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. The team supports efficient product flow from vendor receipt through shipment to internal and external customers. Warehouse team members receive and fulfill orders so customers have the products they need to care for their patients. This part-time, night-shift role follows a Sunday-through-Thursday schedule from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The pay rate is $18.80 per hour, including shift differential. The position is not bonus eligible. Benefits listed are 401(k) contributions, paid time off, and access to wages before payday through myFlexPay. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to follow directions and change priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements.
- Basic proficiency in English, including the ability to read and write English to process documents.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with technologies such as computers or point-of-sale systems.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follow established processes to fulfill orders, including accurately picking products, performing quality-control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as assigned by a manager or other member of management.
- Occasionally wear steel-toed boots while performing certain warehouse duties, if required.
- Work in cold temperatures during segments of the shift, if required.
- Perform housekeeping and inventory-control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Train and become certified to operate material-handling equipment as required by job duties.
