Warehouse Associate - Packer
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate - Packer supports shipping operations in South Bend, Indiana by accurately and efficiently packing products for shipment. The role receives carts and cartons from Pickers, verifies product quantities against orders, assembles cartons as needed, selects appropriate packing materials, and prepares packages with the required certificates, labels, documents, and markings. For export orders, the associate completes packing slips and includes proforma invoices. Export Packers may also stack packed cartons on pallets and collect shipment weight and dimension data. Performance is evaluated on accuracy, productivity, efficiency, on-time performance, and safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of warehouse experience.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack; training may be provided to the right candidate.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency using a keyboard and mouse.
- Strong counting and sorting skills.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Receive carts and cartons from Pickers containing products ready for shipment.
- Verify and count product quantities against orders.
- Assemble cartons as needed and pack products using appropriate packing materials, including certificates.
- Tape cartons securely and apply required labels, documents, and markings.
- Complete packing slips and include proforma invoices for export orders.
- For export packing, stack packed cartons on pallets when required and collect weight and dimension data for shipping.
