Warehouse Packer
About The Position
The Packer works in Operations and packs boxes and prepares products for shipment. The role removes finished products from machines, labels them, packs items into bags and cartons, and places finished products in designated locations according to specifications. It also performs advanced quality checks, communicates with operators and supervisors to ensure products meet quality requirements, and assists with effective machinery operation. The Packer may assist in other plant areas, including covering lunches and breaks, and is expected to work with a safety-first mindset and use IPS lean manufacturing skills. Additional related tasks may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Intermediate math skills.
- English written communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time.
- Ability to work continuously in a space-limited work area.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
