About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the safe handling of shipments, proper care and handling of inventory, and following safe practices and standard work procedures. The role involves inspecting units, loading and unloading caskets, maintaining a clean and safe work area, performing other warehouse duties, and safely operating powered equipment. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 AM to 11:00 AM; the role also requires flexibility to work different days, shifts, and weekends to meet customer demand. Travel is not required. The position may be designated safety-sensitive based on power equipment operation.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Dependability, honesty, ability to learn quickly, good communication skills, and a team-oriented approach.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including any days, shifts, and weekends, to meet customer demand.
• Ability to frequently lift or move miscellaneous equipment and products weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 100 pounds.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including sitting, standing, walking, handling and feeling with the hands, reaching, talking, hearing, and occasionally climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching or squatting, and twisting.
• Ability to see near and far distances.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspect each unit to ensure quality.
• Unload inbound and load outbound caskets quickly, accurately, safely, and without damage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform various warehouse duties as requested.
• Operate powered equipment efficiently and safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
