About The Position

West Shore Home is a technology-driven home improvement company specializing in bathroom, flooring, window, and door remodels. The Warehouse Associate assists the Warehouse Manager with shipping and receiving, supplies and consumables, daily installation tasks, and building and fleet maintenance. The role is based in Altoona, Iowa, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; hours may vary. The approximate compensation is $20.00 per hour, with final compensation depending on factors such as background, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.

Requirements

• Experience operating a forklift.
• A valid smartphone or smart device to log into company-required systems using two-factor authentication.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse experience, including work with shipping and receiving, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect deliveries for damage; verify quantities and materials against bills of lading and packing slips; document discrepancies; and route goods to the appropriate departments.
• Monitor consumable inventory, conduct periodic physical counts, distribute supplies, and ensure trucks are stocked with necessary tools.
• Stage paperwork and materials for upcoming jobs and provide tools and supplies needed for daily installations.
• Deliver parts or materials to job sites as needed.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe; perform light building maintenance; and assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
• Follow and promote safety protocols, maintain regular in-person attendance, and communicate discrepancies to leadership.
• Work overtime as needed.
