3rd Shift Warehouse Associate – Picking, Loading & Sorting
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate works at a seafood processor and specialty food distributor in Union, New Jersey. This temporary, third-shift position involves picking, loading, sorting, organizing, and preparing products for distribution in a fast-paced refrigerated warehouse. Employees must maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety standards and keep work areas clean and organized. The work includes regular exposure to temperatures of 30°F–36°F and occasional freezer conditions as low as -10°F. Temporary employees must provide their own appropriate cold-weather clothing, including warm layers, an insulated jacket, gloves, and suitable footwear. Overnight hours are typically 6:00 or 7:00 PM to 4:00 or 5:00 AM, depending on operational needs. Pay is $20.25 per hour.
Requirements
- Previous experience in refrigerated or cold storage warehouses.
- Experience in picking, loading, and/or sorting.
- Ability to perform physically demanding warehouse tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Reliability and attention to detail.
- Comfort working overnight shifts.
- Provide appropriate cold-weather clothing, including warm layers, an insulated jacket, gloves, and suitable footwear.
