About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for safely handling shipments, properly caring for and handling inventory, and following safe practices and standard work procedures. The role includes inspecting units for quality, loading and unloading caskets, maintaining an organized work area, and operating powered equipment. The position may be designated as safety-sensitive because operation of power equipment can affect the safety of the employee, coworkers, and the public. Travel is not required.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.
Dependability, honesty, ability to learn quickly, good communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including any days, shifts, and weekends, to meet customer demand.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move miscellaneous equipment and products weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally over 100 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, handle and feel objects, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear regularly; occasionally climb, bend, kneel, crouch or squat, and twist.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 to over 100 pounds.
Vision abilities may include seeing near and far distances.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly inspect each unit to ensure quality.
Unload inbound and load outbound caskets quickly, accurately, safely, and without damage.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Perform various warehouse duties as requested.
Operate various powered equipment efficiently and safely.
Perform other duties as assigned.
