About The Position

Valley Wide Cooperative is hiring Warehouse Associates for part-time and full-time positions. The role is responsible for inventory control and product rotation, maintaining orderly areas, and filling propane. Employees are expected to perform required tasks with concentration and dedication. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Warehouse Associates acknowledge and assist customers, employees, and vendors; help customers with product information and orders; maintain safe, clean, and organized warehouse and lot areas; operate forklifts and hand trucks; inspect equipment; load and unload trucks; and stock and maintain warehouse and stored inventory. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be certified to operate a forklift.
• Must be willing to become propane certified upon hire.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on importance and need.
• Ability to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Strong team-player focus in all interactions.
• Must exhibit a professional and positive image.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge customers, employees, and vendors.
• Assist customers with product information and orders.
• Clean and organize the lot and warehouse to ensure safety.
• Operate forklifts and hand trucks.
• Perform equipment inspections.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Stock and maintain the warehouse and stored inventory.
• Maintain inventory control and rotate products.
• Fill propane.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
