About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for billing and payment-related functions while providing strong customer service. The position requires performing assigned tasks with concentration and dedication and following the company’s standard operating procedures. Part-time and full-time positions are available. The average workday is seven hours, and shifts vary. Work takes place approximately 30% outdoors and 70% indoors; the stated hazards include propane and gasoline.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must be willing to become propane certified upon hire.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on importance.
• Ability to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Strong team-player focus in interactions.
• Ability to handle money, give change, and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
• Must perform the essential duties competently and follow company standard operating procedures.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Complete billing and payment-related functions.
• Acknowledge customers, employees, and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner.
• Assist customers with purchases and returns of goods and services.
• Clean, organize, and stock shelves in a timely manner.
• Answer multiple phone lines using proper telephone etiquette.
• Assist other employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Obtain Tier II training.
• Handle money, give change, and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately.
