About The Position
As a Warehouse Associate, you help create a seamless, customer-focused experience by receiving, storing, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping merchandise. You handle items carefully, work accurately and safely, and help keep the warehouse clean, organized, and operating smoothly. Requirements
- No education or experience required.
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work as a flexible team player in a fast-paced environment and switch between multiple tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer expectations and needs.
- Proficiency using computers and handheld technology.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors, and to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Ability to perform frequent computer and handheld-device use; reach above eye level; crouch, kneel, stoop, push, and pull; and lift and move items weighing up to 50–75 pounds.
- Ability to meet close-vision, color-vision, depth-perception, and focus-adjustment demands.
- Ability to hear and see safety and emergency alarms and Power Industrial Truck warning devices on the warehouse floor.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload cartons and merchandise to and from delivery trucks, conveyor systems, and other equipment.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull packages continuously and repetitively while sorting and organizing merchandise.
- Complete processing, receiving, and shipping activities on time and in accordance with productivity standards.
- Accurately enter data using PCs, handheld computers, radio-frequency equipment, or similar devices, and learn area-specific warehouse and proprietary systems.
- Perform job functions safely and promptly report accidents or safety hazards to the safety committee.
- Follow shift-start procedures, including wearing a name badge, following the dress code, attending start-ups, preparing the work area, and staying informed about daily goals.
- Work with speed and accuracy, handle merchandise with care, and pack customer orders neatly and thoughtfully.
- Build positive working relationships by greeting coworkers, supporting new and existing teammates, and treating colleagues with kindness, care, and respect.
- At the end of the shift, tidy the workstation, return equipment, replenish supplies, and recognize coworkers who contributed to the day’s work.
- Foster acceptance and respect and strengthen relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
