About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a temporary seasonal Warehouse Associate/Package Handler at its Santa Maria, California location. The role supports the holiday package rush by unloading, sorting, moving, and loading packages safely and on time. No previous warehouse experience is required; training is provided. The assignment is scheduled to run from October 27, 2026, through January 1, 2027. Seasonal employees may be considered for available permanent positions after the assignment ends, based on eligibility and availability, but continued employment is not guaranteed.

The listed pay is $17.90 per hour, paid weekly. The position is eligible for overtime pay consistent with applicable law. Shifts are scheduled from 5:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., with possible workdays covering each of the listed combinations from Saturday–Wednesday through Friday–Tuesday. Hours may vary based on business needs, and the shift may continue through completion of required sort work and cleanup as directed by site management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Be able to repeatedly lift packages as described, stand and walk, and bend, lift, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently throughout the shift.
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Keep the workspace organized and ready for work.
• Help packages reach their next destination safely and on time.
