Wearhouse Associate (Nights)
About The Position
Warehouse Operations at Cardinal Health performs and controls manual or automated tasks involved in receiving, storing, and shipping products. The team supports the efficient flow of products from vendors through shipment to internal and external customers. Warehouse team members receive and fulfill orders so customers have the products they need to care for patients. This role is scheduled for 40 hours per week on the night shift. The listed schedule is Sunday, 6:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m., and Monday through Thursday, 8:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. Employees must work until tasks are completed. Scheduled days may change according to operational needs and where the employee is best suited.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working regularly at heights of 20–30 feet.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to follow direction and change priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements.
- Basic proficiency in English, including the ability to read and write in English to process documents.
Nice To Haves
- Warehouse experience; candidates with little to no warehouse experience are also welcome.
- Experience working with technologies such as computers or point-of-sale systems.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follow established processes to fulfill orders, including accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
- Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Train and obtain certification to operate material handling equipment as required by job duties.
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
- Meet established performance quotas and attendance requirements.
