About The Position

Maersk Ground Freight is seeking a Warehouse Associate Lead in Valencia, California. The Warehouse Lead oversees a team and directs warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. The role also maintains a clean and safe work environment, checks received loads against manifests, monitors warehouse agents’ performance, identifies and reports noncompliance to management, and records overages, shortages, and damages in the operating system. The schedule is 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with Mondays and Tuesdays off; weekend work is required. Overtime may be needed. The stated pay range is $21–$23 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of prior warehouse lead experience.
Experience using an RF scan gun.
Ability to use dollies, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
Ability to work overtime as needed and on weekends.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
Ability to work well with others, including with little supervision.
High attention to detail.
Ability to lift more than 50 pounds unassisted.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Nice To Haves

Basic Microsoft Office and data-entry skills.

Responsibilities

Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
Perform material-handling duties such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, counting products, and related tasks.
Ensure work is completed accurately and on time, including packaging and systems work.
Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager, delegate tasks to Warehouse Agent 1 and Warehouse Agent 2.
Train and assist Warehouse Agent 1 and Warehouse Agent 2 with daily tasks.
Follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
Oversee warehouse agents’ work and performance, identify noncompliance, and report it to management.
Update overages, shortages, and damages in the operating system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
