Warehouse Associate II - 3rd Shift

About The Position

The Warehouse Associate II assists with inbound or outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. In inbound operations, the role receives products; in outbound operations, it ships products. The position works on routine assignments under a moderate degree of supervision and follows established standard operating procedures and quality guidelines. Work is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., or until completion. The pay rate is $22.90 per hour, including shift differential; the role is not bonus eligible.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Comfort working regularly at heights of 20–30 feet.
Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various warehouse areas.
Ability to work within established procedures and adhere to quality guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Previous material handling equipment (PIT) experience preferred.
Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice-to-pick experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow established SOPs to process orders, including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, sorting and consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.
Follow direction and adjust priorities while working independently or as part of a team.
Pick large-case items using material handling equipment or pick small-unit items and place them on a designated cart.
Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as needed.
Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products.
Operate material handling equipment as required by job duties.
Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Work on routine assignments requiring problem resolution.
Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
Follow site safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed safety shoes and a material handling equipment safety harness, and comply with Cardinal Health EHS and QRA policies and procedures.
Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications; learn and apply new information and methods in the assigned area.
Refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.
