Warehouse Associate I - Baton Rouge
About The Position
The Warehouse Associate I works in an in-person, non-climate-controlled warehouse processing wire and cable orders for shipment. The role involves operating cutting equipment and using RF scanners, iPads, and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders; assisting customers with local will-call orders; handling reels, pallets, and packages; and shipping and receiving truck deliveries. The work is fast-paced and may require overtime. Employees work around moving machinery, order pickers, forklifts, and heavy reels, and may experience heat, noise, and dirty conditions. Proper PPE is provided, and ASTM F2413-approved safety footwear is required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future employer sponsorship.
- Must wear ASTM F2413-approved safety footwear.

Responsibilities
