About The Position

Global Industrial is hiring a Warehouse Associate/Generalist to help process customer orders and manage warehouse merchandise. The role uses scanners and material-handling equipment to gather, verify, stage, pack, and load products, as well as receive daily deliveries and check inventory. Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of the job. The role generally operates from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a gas forklift and electric pallet jack.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• At least 1 year of experience operating an electric pallet jack.
• At least 1 year of experience using an RF scanner.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, pull, and bend continuously throughout the day in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various packing supplies to protect products on pallets for shipping.
• Reading and comprehension skills.
• Computer exposure.
• Strong initiative and self-motivation.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use an RF scanner to identify products to move, gather, or distribute for customer orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts for the appropriate packing or shipping route.
• Operate a riding powered pallet jack and/or forklift to move products.
• Receive processed orders, verify their accuracy, and scan them into the computer system.
• Secure products to pallets using banding according to company standards.
• Use machinery to shrink-wrap products on pallets.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to stage or load products as needed.
• Load orders safely and efficiently.
• Receive daily merchandise deliveries into the warehouse.
• Unload trucks and verify inventory.
• Record and report discrepancies or damages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
