About The Position

Global Industrial is hiring a Warehouse Associate/Generalist to support warehouse operations and customer order fulfillment. The role uses RF scanners to locate and gather products, assembles and routes orders, verifies processed orders, and prepares products for shipment using pallets, banding, and shrink-wrap machinery. It also involves operating powered material-handling equipment, loading and staging products, receiving deliveries, checking inventory, and reporting discrepancies or damage. The position requires frequent lifting and continuous standing, walking, pulling, and bending in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• At least 1 year of experience operating an electric pallet jack.
• At least 1 year of experience using an RF scanner.
• Previous experience operating a gas forklift and electric pallet jack.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, pull, and bend continuously throughout the day in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Reading and comprehension skills.
• Computer exposure.
• Strong initiative and self-motivation.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use an RF scanner to identify products to move, gather, or distribute for customer orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts for routing to packing or shipping.
• Operate a riding powered pallet jack and/or forklift to move products efficiently.
• Receive processed orders, verify their accuracy, and scan them into the computer system.
• Secure products to pallets with banding according to company standards.
• Use machinery to shrink-wrap products on pallets.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to stage or load products as needed.
• Load orders safely and efficiently.
• Receive daily merchandise deliveries into the warehouse.
• Unload trucks and verify inventory.
• Record and report discrepancies or damage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
