About The Position

The company offers more than one million industrial, material-handling, and business products through its website, corporate sales team, and catalogs.

The Warehouse Associate/Generalist uses scanning equipment and warehouse machinery to gather, process, stage, and load customer orders, and receives and verifies incoming merchandise. The role generally works a mid shift from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It involves frequent lifting up to 75 pounds and continuous standing, walking, pulling, and bending in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• At least one year of experience operating an electric pallet jack.
• At least one year of experience using an RF scanner.
• Previous experience operating a gas forklift and electric pallet jack.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, pull, and bend continuously throughout the day in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various packing supplies to protect products on pallets for shipping.
• Reading and comprehension skills.
• Computer exposure.
• Strong initiative and self-motivation.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use an RF scanner to identify products to move, gather, or distribute for customer orders.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyor belts for routing to packing or shipping.
• Operate a riding powered pallet jack and/or forklift to move products.
• Receive processed orders, verify their accuracy, and scan them into the computer system.
• Secure products to pallets using banding and company standards.
• Use machinery to shrink-wrap products on pallets.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to stage or load products as needed.
• Load orders safely and efficiently.
• Receive daily merchandise deliveries into the warehouse.
• Unload trucks and verify inventory.
• Record and report discrepancies or damage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
