WAITER/WAITRESS
About The Position
Unidine is hiring full-time Waiters/Waitresses at Moorings Park Oakstone at Grey Oaks in Naples, Florida. The role takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. Days and hours may vary, and weekend and holiday availability is required. The position is part of the culinary team, which works to create memorable dining experiences and make a difference in the lives of those served. The role involves greeting guests, taking and delivering orders, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment, and coordinating with other staff to meet guest needs. Senior living experience is required; at least two years of fine dining experience is preferred. The listed pay range is $18.00 to $21.00 per hour. Responsibilities
- Promptly and warmly greet dining room guests and take food and beverage orders efficiently according to established steps of service.
- Deliver food promptly and professionally while following safe food-handling and sanitation standards; follow up with guests about additional needs or requests.
- Understand menu items and ingredients, advise guests on food and drink combinations when requested, accommodate reasonable requests, note preferences, and demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
- Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
- Communicate effectively and remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
- Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
- Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information or complaints to a supervisor.
- Set up the dining room before service and restore it after service; keep the area clean and meet sanitation standards.
- Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
- Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
