About The Position

The Moorings of Arlington Heights is hiring part-time Wait Staff for its Dining Department. Day and night shifts are available, and working weekends and holidays is required. The hourly rate is $17.82–$24.89, based on years of experience.

Wait Staff help create a personalized dining experience for residents in a mission-driven senior living community. The role involves preparing for and supporting dining room operations, serving food and beverages, accurately entering orders on a tablet, accommodating dietary modifications, and maintaining clean, orderly tables. Team members collaborate with coworkers and supervisors and help address complaints or unsafe conditions.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of serving or waitstaff experience.
• English language proficiency.

Nice To Haves

• Serve Safe Food Handler certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks before, during, and after dining room operations, including menu review and side jobs.
• Serve food and beverages in the proper sequence.
• Use a tablet to take orders accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of meals offered and follow dietary modifications as needed.
• Keep tables neat and clean, promptly remove soiled dishes, and reset tables uniformly.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors, addressing complaints or unsafe conditions.
