About The Position

In an assigned area or cell, the VTL Machinist must be willing to be trained to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform work on vertical turning lathes (VTL). The role requires performing work at a consistently high level of quality. This includes identifying non-conformances at the time of occurrence and recognizing opportunities for non-conformances, notifying management of the need for action. The position also involves actively participating in various aspects of Continuous Improvement projects, such as 5S, TPM, kaizen events, and set-up reduction events, aligning with the commitment to continuous improvement activities. Safety is paramount, requiring the machinist to work safely at all times and participate in safety improvement initiatives by raising concerns and helping to develop corrective actions. Additionally, the machinist must be capable and willing to assist or train other employees in this or lower classifications as needed and refer difficulties to a leader or supervisor as appropriate. Tasks not specifically listed may be assigned to support department or cell objectives and individual skill development.

Requirements

Nice To Haves
