About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented VTC Technician to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract. The position is based onsite at Eglin AFB, Florida, supporting the Air Force / Space team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university; two additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least two years of hands-on or practical experience installing, configuring, and operating classified and unclassified VTC systems.
• Active and valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification.
• Working or practical knowledge of IP networks and how they are implemented as part of VTC systems.
• Familiarity with audio/video standards, such as H.323 and SIP protocols.
• Experience providing Tier I and II customer support for VTC systems; configuring and managing Cisco switches; and working with General Dynamics Type 1 encryption devices such as TACLANE.
• Hands-on experience conducting remote and onsite site surveys to determine requirements for new VTC system installations or upgrades.
• Practical experience conducting onsite VTC system installations, including end network device configuration, equipment installation and configuration, and system checkout.
• Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
• Willingness to submit to a polygraph.
• Able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery; and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I and II customer support.
• Schedule conferences using Cisco’s TelePresence Management Suite (TMS).
• Respond to system outages and take appropriate action to alternate-route or use available failover and backup capabilities to meet VTC client needs.
• Conduct remote and onsite site surveys to determine requirements for new VTC system installations and upgrades.
• Conduct onsite VTC installations, including assisting with end network device configurations, equipment installation and configuration, and equipment checkout.
