•$235,300 - $300,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The VP, Social Strategy & Analytics owns the strategy, platform intelligence, and measurement backbone of SharkNinja’s Global Social function. This leader turns social signals into faster, better decisions across content, creators, platforms, markets, and investment. The role sets the agenda for AI-enabled social intelligence and partners with Analytics, Enterprise Data, and IT on the methodology, infrastructure, and scalable data products needed for global decision-making. The position is based in Needham, MA or NYC and follows a hybrid schedule with on-site work three days a week. The successful candidate is a social media expert with strong analytics and data fluency, able to define what social needs to know, why it matters, and how insights should change the organization’s operations. The VP leads and develops a social intelligence and analytics team and translates platform and performance signals into clear, decisive recommendations for executive and cross-functional audiences.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in social media, social strategy, social analytics, measurement, platform intelligence, or data strategy, including senior leadership experience building or scaling a global function, operating model, team, or KPI framework.
  • Deep social platform expertise across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, Pinterest, influencer, earned, paid, organic, creator, and community ecosystems.
  • Strong data fluency, including the ability to query platform and BI data directly, understand data models, and work effectively with Enterprise Data, IT, or analytics engineering partners.
  • Experience creating or governing metric definitions, data dictionaries, taxonomy, or reporting standards across teams or regions.
  • Comfort specifying requirements to a central data or engineering team rather than building a parallel technical stack.
  • Working fluency with AI and automation tools for reporting, anomaly detection, trend identification, and predictive analytics, with an understanding of accuracy standards, human review, and escalation paths for incomplete or incorrect outputs.
  • Strong executive communication skills and the ability to translate complex platform and performance signals into clear, decisive recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • Platform-side experience, particularly in data, product, partnerships, or measurement roles at TikTok, Meta, Pinterest, YouTube, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced SQL or similar technical experience; strong data product ownership experience may be an alternative.
  • CPG, DTC, retail, consumer electronics, platform, or agency-side experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Global Social measurement framework, including KPI definitions, reporting cadence, platform benchmarks, and a certified metric layer for dashboards, executive reporting, and AI-assisted insights across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, and Pinterest.
  • Define social data requirements and taxonomy across campaigns, creators, assets, markets, accounts, audiences, and posts to enable consistent comparison and action across regions.
  • Shape the social analytics tool and data ecosystem with Analytics, Enterprise Data, and IT, including listening, reporting, dashboarding, taxonomy, data quality, and governance standards.
  • Champion AI adoption in social measurement, using agents and automation to reduce manual reporting, flag anomalies, identify trends, and surface insights while maintaining ownership, accuracy standards, and human review for executive-facing output.
  • Lead measurement design beyond standard reporting, including creative testing, paid amplification learnings, brand lift inputs, and approaches to understanding incrementality where data allows.
  • Serve as the social platform expert, tracking algorithm shifts, new formats, platform-native analytics tools, creator behavior, and content mechanics, and translating signals into guidance for content, creative, creator, paid, and regional teams.
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics to connect platform-level social data to business KPIs, including revenue, POS, share, NPD performance, brand lift, and commercial impact, with clear and consistent methodology.
  • Translate performance data into a clear point of view for executives and support Social Signal Engine workstream reporting across viral velocity, full-funnel activation, creative performance, and influencer impact.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing social intelligence and analytics team responsible for reporting, insight generation, ad hoc analysis, listening, tool administration, and continuous improvement of the measurement operating model.
