VP of Finance
About The Position
Billee Technologies Inc. is seeking a VP of Finance to bring more rigor and structure to its forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting as the company scales. This is a foundational role to shape financial planning, reporting, and decision-making. The VP of Finance will build the company's financial model, manage the monthly and quarterly budget process, prepare board and investor materials, manage the cap table in Carta, and advise the CEO and President on financial decisions. The role involves establishing the forecasting model, reporting cadence, and best practices for the finance function. Billee Technologies Inc. is a Dallas-based SaaS startup revolutionizing utility billing for multifamily apartment communities with an intuitive, cloud-based platform. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in finance leadership.
- Experience in SaaS or startup environments is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial models and forecasting frameworks from scratch.
- Sophisticated financial modeling skills, including scenario planning and cash flow forecasting.
- Experience supporting a fundraising process, including data room preparation, investor reporting, and cap table management.
- Comfort with GAAP-based reporting and preparing board-level financial materials.
- Must be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and able to work in-office.
- Able to operate as both a strategic advisor to executive leadership and a hands-on builder of the function itself.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel modeling is essential.
- QuickBooks and Carta experience is helpful.
Nice To Haves
- RevOps fluency.
- Experience working alongside a Sales or Revenue Operations team.
- Comfort with SaaS metrics like ARR, net revenue retention, CAC, and LTV is valuable.
Responsibilities
- Build and own the financial model, including revenue projections, expense planning, cash runway, and scenario modeling.
- Run the annual and quarterly budget process across every department and track actuals against budget, explaining variances.
- Establish a reporting cadence for the CEO and President.
- Prepare investor materials such as data rooms, financial models, and supporting numbers.
- Manage the cap table in Carta, ensuring accuracy and audit-readiness.
- Build and present the board deck and the financial narrative.
- Serve as the CEO and President's go-to advisor on financial questions.
- Establish the finance function's tools, workflows, and best practices.
