About The Position

Billee Technologies Inc. is seeking a VP of Finance to build and lead the company's financial planning, budgeting, and reporting functions. This is a foundational role to establish financial rigor and structure as the company scales. The VP of Finance will be responsible for building the company's financial model, managing the budget process, preparing investor and board materials, managing the cap table, and advising the CEO and President on financial decisions. The role offers significant autonomy to establish forecasting models, reporting cadences, and best practices. Billee Technologies Inc. is a Dallas-based SaaS startup focused on utility billing for multifamily apartment communities, aiming to provide smarter, more efficient solutions. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in finance leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to build financial models and forecasting frameworks from scratch.
  • Sophisticated financial modeling skills, including scenario planning and cash flow forecasting.
  • Experience supporting a fundraising process, including data room preparation, investor reporting, and cap table management.
  • Comfort with GAAP-based reporting and preparing board-level financial materials.
  • Must be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and able to work in-office.
  • Able to operate as both a strategic advisor and a hands-on builder.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SaaS or startup environments is strongly preferred.
  • RevOps fluency.
  • Comfort with SaaS metrics like ARR, net revenue retention, CAC, and LTV.
  • QuickBooks and Carta experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the financial model for revenue projections, expense planning, cash runway, and scenario modeling.
  • Run the annual and quarterly budget process across all departments and track actuals against budget, explaining variances.
  • Establish a reliable monthly reporting cadence for the CEO and President.
  • Prepare materials for investors, including data rooms, financial models, and supporting data.
  • Manage the cap table in Carta, ensuring accuracy and audit-readiness.
  • Build and present the board deck and its accompanying financial narrative.
  • Serve as the CEO and President's trusted advisor on financial matters.
  • Establish the finance function's tools, workflows, and best practices.
