About The Position

Ascend Learning, a leading healthcare and learning technology company, is seeking a VP Marketing, Healthcare Workforce Solutions to lead strategy and execution for accelerated growth across a strategic, multi-brand portfolio including Laudio and Staff Garden. The role involves defining and driving category-leading thought leadership, product and solutions marketing, and establishing a differentiated industry presence. The VP will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Executive Leadership to align go-to-market strategy and demand generation, with a focus on building a scalable pipeline of qualified leads.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of proven experience in senior marketing leadership roles, preferably within a SaaS or healthcare technology company serving health systems
  • Deep understanding of the health system environment, including complex multi-buyer committee sales cycles, key industry trends, and demonstrated credibility with C-suite healthcare executives
  • Full stack marketing expertise with a track record of designing and executing programs that generate highly qualified leads and measurable pipeline impact
  • Proven experience developing and scaling brand strategy in a multi-brand, post-acquisition environment
  • Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making skills, including strategic product marketing experience and close collaboration with product teams to maximize market impact
  • Experience planning and delivering high-impact, private customer or client conferences and large-scale events
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build compelling messaging and clearly communicate complex concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, influence senior stakeholders, and lead through partnership
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the overall marketing strategy aligned to company growth objectives and priority healthcare market segments.
  • Design and execute capital efficient, multi-channel demand generation programs targeting C-suite healthcare leaders, with a strong focus on pipeline quality and revenue impact.
  • Establish, protect, and scale a strong brand identity across Laudio, Staff Garden, and the broader Healthcare Workforce Solutions portfolio.
  • Lead ongoing market research and competitive analysis to understand customer needs, healthcare system trends, and evolving buyer behavior.
  • Oversee product, content, and digital marketing while testing and scaling innovative programs that drive awareness, engagement, and demand within core healthcare customer segments.
  • Design, launch, and scale the company’s annual customer conference and build engaged, ongoing virtual user communities.
  • Build and nurture a strong ambassador and referral ecosystem, developing compelling case studies and customer references.
  • Advance and expand account-based marketing efforts to identify, engage, and convert key strategic health system accounts in partnership with Sales.
  • Leverage advanced analytics to inform decision making, measure marketing effectiveness, and continuously refine strategy.
  • Identify and activate strategic partnerships and industry influencers to expand market reach, strengthen brand credibility, and increase visibility within the healthcare ecosystem.
