About The Position

The VP, B2B Media Strategy will lead dentsu B2B’s media strategy and planning capabilities across North America. The role calls for deep B2B audience expertise, a strong strategic point of view, and the ability to turn complex business challenges into actionable media plans. Working across iProspect, dentsu X, Carat, and specialist teams, this leader will strengthen B2B planning standards, lead strategy for priority clients, support new-business growth, and translate partner innovation into client value. The position balances capability building and thought leadership, priority-client strategy, growth and pitches, and partner innovation, with approximately equal emphasis over time. Initial priorities may involve deeper participation in a major technology account before expanding across the portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role guiding media strategists across agency teams through expertise, collaboration, and trust. The role includes defining dentsu B2B’s media point of view; creating B2B planning frameworks and playbooks; coaching strategists and raising planning standards; leading strategy for priority clients; developing audience strategies using ABM/ABX principles; collaborating with creative, experience, data, technology, and measurement specialists; supporting pitches and client growth; and leading strategic relationships with B2B platforms and partners. The VP will also assess emerging opportunities in video and CTV, creators, identity, AI, and advanced measurement, and design practical pilots with clear learning goals. This is a hybrid position. Employees living within commuting distance (90 minutes) of a headquarters or hub office—New York, Chicago, Detroit, or Los Angeles—are generally required to work in the office two to three days per week, including one Team Day. Requirements may vary by office and role. Employees who do not live near an office may be designated remote, depending on the role and business needs; all employees should be flexible to attend an office as business or client needs require.
