About The Position

Uncommon Threads is a nonprofit in Lawrence, MA that empowers low-income women to live their best lives by utilizing personal development coaching and individualized wardrobe styling to build self-esteem and self-worth. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about coordinating and overseeing volunteers, marketing, and running events.

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate degree
• Experience event planning, fundraising, marketing, and volunteer management
• Knowledge of Wix, Bloomerang or technical ability to learn new platforms
• Strong computer skills
• Social media skills (Instagram/Facebook)
• Ability to push, pull or lift 30lbs

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer tours, onboarding and system setup
• Manage volunteer sign up system
• Draft weekly communications
• Monitor and manage volunteer participation
• Prepare and implement training for volunteers
• Create effective email campaigns
• Create content for social media/communications
• Plan and organize events with team
• Coordinate event logistics, including staffing, vendors, marketing, data entry and reports
