About The Position

The Verification of Benefits Specialist supports patients and clinics by accurately verifying insurance eligibility, hearing aid benefits, and coverage before services are provided. The role works with insurance carriers and internal teams to clarify benefits, resolve discrepancies, and support a smooth patient experience. This is a full-time, in-office, non-exempt hourly position, scheduled Monday through Friday. Work hours will be communicated during the hiring process and may vary based on business needs. The position is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law and company policy.

Requirements

Strong understanding of insurance plans, benefits, and medical terminology.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to explain complex insurance information clearly.
Patient-focused approach to customer service.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organization, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
Flexibility and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in insurance verification, medical billing, or a related field is preferred.
