About The Position

The Vitamin Clerk works in Sprouts Farmers Market’s Vitamin Department, providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service to help customers learn about vitamins, supplements, and healthier lifestyle choices. The role includes maintaining department displays, accurately pricing merchandise, answering customer questions and providing product education within appropriate limits, and staying informed about department events and seminars. The clerk also shares information about weekly ad items and helps customers locate products throughout the store. This is a fast-paced retail role involving teamwork and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible, changing schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday; lift, stack, and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds from 4 to 72 inches, over a distance of up to 3 feet, for between 10 and 50 hours without mechanical assistance; maneuver a utility cart holding 20 pounds with force up to 35 pounds for up to 2 hours and a distance of up to 20 feet; and walk up to 3 miles in an 8-hour shift.
Team members under 18 are restricted from using knives other than safety cutters, using ladders, operating garbage or cardboard compactors, operating motorized or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service in the Vitamin Department.
Create and maintain department displays.
Accurately price merchandise by stamping, marking, or placing shelf tags and signs.
Use supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer questions and educate customers within appropriate parameters.
Stay familiar with department events and seminars.
Share knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to products throughout the store.
Follow safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
