About The Position

The Vitamin/HBA Clerk works in Sprouts Farmers Market’s Vitamin Department and helps ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service. The role involves maintaining department displays, accurately pricing merchandise with stamps, markings, shelf tags, and signs, and using vitamin and supplement knowledge to answer customer questions and provide education within appropriate parameters. The clerk also stays familiar with department events and seminars, shares information about weekly ad items, and directs customers to products throughout the store. The position is in a fast-paced retail environment and may include other related duties as assigned. Team members under 18 are restricted from using knives other than safety cutters, using ladders, operating garbage or cardboard compactors, operating motorized or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods. The pay range is $18.70–$25.25 per hour, with pay determined based on applicable experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.

Be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday; lift, stack, and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds from 4 to 72 inches high, for up to 3 feet, for between 10 and 50 hours without mechanical assistance; maneuver a utility cart holding 20 pounds that requires up to 35 pounds of force for up to 2 hours over a distance of up to 20 feet; and walk up to 3 miles during an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service in the Vitamin Department.
Create and maintain department displays.
Accurately price merchandise by stamping or marking products and placing shelf tags and signs throughout the department.
Use vitamin and supplement knowledge to answer questions and educate customers within appropriate parameters.
Stay familiar with department events and seminars.
Share information about weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations throughout the store.
Follow safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
