About The Position

The Visual Lead is responsible for achieving store sales and maximizing profitability through visual merchandising in partnership with the Management Team. The role works closely with Operations and Visual Managers to initiate and delegate work and provide feedback that supports effective store operations. It requires constant movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not assisting guests, the Visual Lead takes initiative to complete tasks that keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and efficient. The role leads visual execution and store operations, including shipment processing, product presentation, floor-set updates, replenishment, inventory and supplies, and execution of company visual direction. In partnership with management, the Visual Lead uses reporting and business metrics to identify opportunities, manage resources, support sales strategies, and maintain standards and budgets. The Visual Lead also leads and develops associates through coaching, feedback, recruitment, and guidance. The position collaborates with other leads and the leadership team on cross-functional training, company initiatives, store goals, and KPIs, and opens and closes the store in accordance with visual standards.

Requirements

At least 2 years of prior work experience in a client-centric sales environment.
Proven leadership capabilities and excellent decision-making.

Self-motivated, with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
Full-time employees are expected to be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts, which may be subject to change.
Employees are expected to be able to work from the week of and including Black Friday through the end of the holiday season, the first week of January.

Responsibilities

Manage shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intraday replenishment, floor-set updates, and supply management.
Maintain strategic product presentation and merchandising through product recovery, restocking, destocking, and visual merchandising changes in accordance with directives and in partnership with the Visual Manager.
Plan visual floor changes with the management team, managing payroll and adapting zones and visual support to business needs.
Execute and maintain visual direction from planning through completion, meeting company expectations, budgets, and timelines.
Use reporting tools with management to identify business opportunities involving product placement, outfitting, and stock levels, and make changes as needed.
Partner with Operations and Visual Managers to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
Use business metrics to support strategies that drive results.
Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations, guest experience, and visual standards.
Partner with management to coach, guide, and direct associates, and support talent recruitment and development.
Use company performance tools to evaluate associates and provide ongoing feedback that supports individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader.
Collaborate with the Operations Lead on cross-functional training and with the Sales & Service Lead to ensure effective business execution.
Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives with the leadership team to achieve goals and KPIs.
Open and close the store in accordance with visual standards.
