About The Position

The Visual Lead is responsible for achieving store sales and maximizing profitability through visual merchandising in partnership with the Management Team. The role works closely with Operations and Visual Managers to initiate and delegate work and provide feedback to the team in support of store operations. It requires constant movement throughout the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not assisting guests, the Visual Lead takes initiative to complete tasks that keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operating efficiently. The position oversees visual execution and key operational functions, contributes to business planning and results, and supports associate coaching and development. The Visual Lead also collaborates with other leads and managers on cross-functional training and operational initiatives, and opens and closes the store in accordance with visual standards.

Requirements

At least 2 years of prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent decision-making.
Values feedback, is receptive to receiving feedback, and is eager to provide it.
Self-motivated, with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Able to work opening, closing, and weekend shifts; full-time employees are expected to be available for these shifts as business needs change.
Available to work from the week of and including Black Friday through the end of the holiday season in the first week of January.
Able to move constantly throughout all areas of the store.
Able to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
Able to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
Able to stand and move for an entire shift.

Responsibilities

Manage key operational functions, including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery and replenishment, floor-set updates, and supply management.
Maintain strategic product presentation and merchandising through product recovery, restocking, destocking, and visual merchandising changes aligned with directives and in partnership with the Visual Manager.
Plan visual floor changes with the management team, managing payroll and adapting zones and visual support to business needs.
Execute and maintain visual direction from planning through completion, meeting company expectations, budgets, and timelines.
Use reporting tools with management to identify opportunities involving product placement, outfitting, and stock levels, and make changes as needed.
Partner with Operations and Visual Managers on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
Use business metrics to support strategies that drive results.
Assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests while working dynamically on the retail floor.
Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations, guest experience, and visual standards.
Partner with management to coach, guide, and direct associates, and support recruitment and talent development.
Use company performance tools to evaluate associates and provide ongoing feedback in partnership with the store leader.
Collaborate with the Operations Lead on cross-functional training and with the Sales & Service Lead on business execution.
Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives with the leadership team to achieve goals and KPIs.
Open and close the store in accordance with visual standards.
