About The Position
Berlin Bytes is seeking freelance, project-based Visual Designers for its pool, with a focus on brand and web design. The role involves creating visually compelling websites, landing pages, and other digital touchpoints, and translating brand identities into scalable digital design. Designers define or apply visual systems spanning typography, colour, layout, and imagery, and collaborate with product owners, designers, developers, and stakeholders. They prepare clean design files and assets for implementation and support consistency and quality across branded digital experiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Visual Designer, Brand Designer, or Digital Designer.
- A strong portfolio showing branding applied to web and digital.
- Excellent visual craft across typography, composition, and layout.
- Understanding of responsive digital design.
- Ability to create work that is both creative and practical to implement.
- Strong spoken and written English.
Nice To Haves
- German language skills.
- Motion design or animation skills.
- Experience with premium brand, campaign, or editorial-style web design.
- Experience in agency or consulting environments.
