About The Position

The Vista Server is responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately taking guest orders and serving food and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner. The role includes recommending menu items, answering guest questions, delivering orders, maintaining dining areas, and helping ensure an excellent guest experience. The position is seasonal.

Requirements

TIPS/TAMS certification required.
Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
Self-directed, with the ability to maximize the use of time, resources, and technology.
Professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.
Regularly stand, walk, and talk or hear; frequently use hands and reach with arms; occasionally taste or smell.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Evening, weekend, and holiday work is a regular part of the schedule.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a server.
POS experience.
Non-smoking candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

Recommend beverages, appetizers, entrées, and desserts to resort guests.
Answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant functions and services.
Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests accurately and promptly.
Pre-bus tables between courses.
Perform side work as required by service station assignment.
Complete opening and closing checklists.
Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas.
Monitor and check on guests during their dining experience.
Ensure guest expectations for food and service are exceeded.
Respond promptly and courteously to requests.
Attend scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
