Winter Seasonal Server Assistant
About The Position
Goldminer's Daughter Lodge is hiring a winter seasonal Dining Room Server Assistant at the base of Alta Ski Area for the 2026–27 season, from the end of November 2026 through mid-April 2027. The role pays $15.00 per hour plus tips, with an average of 35–40 hours per week. This is an entry-level hospitality position; training is provided for candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. The position supports smooth dining-room operations and guest service in a fast-paced setting. On-site housing is available for most full-time seasonal employees. Room and board cost $25 per person per day and include three meals, WiFi, a ski-bus pass, access to a fitness room, hot tub, and sauna, plus an Alta or Snowbird ski pass or a $1,472.18 end-of-season payout. First-year full-time employees who choose to ski pay a $200 deposit; returning employees do not. Off-site employees receive two meals per day worked, the same amenities, and the same pass or payout options. Discounts are available at Motherlode Powder House and Outdoor Prolink. The employer cannot sponsor H2B visa applicants.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; H2B visa applicants cannot be sponsored.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Outgoing personality and excellent customer-service instincts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Solid work ethic and willingness to learn.
Nice To Haves
- Hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Set and clear tables, refill beverages, and assist servers between courses.
- Support dining-room setup and keep the space clean, stocked, and ready.
- Help provide a seamless guest experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Obtain a valid Utah Food Handler's Permit within 30 days of employment; the employee is responsible for the cost.
