About The Position

The Department of Philosophy at Oklahoma State University seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor, with a start date of August 2026. Requirements

Master’s degree in Philosophy or a closely related field conferred before the start of the Fall 2026 semester.
Evidence of successful in-person and online teaching.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and collaborate with students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Typical teaching load is 3 classes per semester for Visiting Assistant Professors.
Some committee work.
Develop and teach concurrent courses aimed at high school students taking logic and critical thinking for college credit.
Must be able teach online and in-person versions of logic and critical thinking.
