Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Petroleum Engineering to begin Fall 2026. TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution located in Laredo, Texas, with over 8,000 students. The university focuses on advancing knowledge through research, teaching, learning, community engagement, and public service, with an emphasis on student success and research excellence. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track appointment. The primary duties include teaching courses such as Petrophysics, special topics in emerging areas of the discipline, and general engineering courses. The successful candidate will also mentor and advise students on Senior Design projects and undergraduate research. Additionally, responsibilities include participating in ABET accreditation activities, such as assessing and evaluating student outcomes, and other service activities as required by the School of Engineering. This position requires face-to-face interactions on campus.
