Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Petroleum Engineering to begin Fall 2026. TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution located in Laredo, Texas, with a mission to advance knowledge through research, teaching, learning, community engagement, and public service, with a focus on student success and research excellence. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track appointment. The role involves teaching courses such as Petrophysics, special topics in emerging areas, and general engineering courses. The successful candidate will also mentor and advise students on Senior Design projects and undergraduate research, and participate in ABET accreditation activities, including assessment and evaluation of student outcomes. This position requires face-to-face interactions on campus.
