About The Position
The Sigmund Weis School of Business (SWSB) of Susquehanna University seeks applicants for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance. This is a full-time, one-year position beginning in Fall 2027. Undergraduate teaching includes corporate financial management and upper-level finance courses.
Requirements
- An earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in Finance, Financial Economics, or a related field. Candidates who are ABD with expected completion prior to start date will also be considered.
- A candidate with a master’s degree and significant professional experience will also be considered.
- A record that illustrates current (or suggests the potential for) excellent teaching is also required.
- This candidate will be expected to interact openly and inspire students through their teaching strategies, which demonstrate a high level of organization and communication.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship for employment authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to teach upper-level economics, real estate, risk management, or business analytics courses.
Responsibilities
- Ability to teach an introductory corporate finance class to all majors in the SWSB.
- Ability to teach an upper-level finance class.
