About The Position

Beloit College is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Business and Psychology with industrial-organizational psychology training and experience for the 2027-28 academic year. This is a benefits-eligible position with the possibility of renewal. The role involves teaching 6 courses per year, including Introduction to Psychology, a course in the Psychological Research Methods and Statistics sequence, and intermediate courses in the candidate's area of expertise (e.g., Behavioral Economics, Consumer Behavior and Marketing, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Management, Organizational Leadership). The college seeks a colleague with demonstrated excellence or strong potential in undergraduate teaching, whose pedagogy or research aligns with and engages a diverse student body and an interdisciplinary curriculum. Requirements

PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or Applied Social Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Leadership, Program Evaluation, or a related field (advanced ABD applicants will be considered)
Demonstrated excellence in or strong potential for teaching undergraduates
Pedagogies or research that align with and engage an increasingly diverse student body and an interdisciplinary curriculum

Responsibilities

Teach 6 courses (3 each semester)
Teach Introduction to Psychology
Teach a course in the Psychological Research Methods and Statistics sequence
Teach intermediate courses in their area of expertise (e.g., Behavioral Economics, Consumer Behavior and Marketing, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Management, Organizational Leadership)
