About The Position

Overview.ai is at the forefront of AI computer vision technology, addressing complex inspection challenges in manufacturing that traditional machine vision cannot solve. As a full-stack company, we deploy GPU-powered cameras on production lines, perform edge inference, and manage a global platform for deployed devices. We are experiencing rapid growth, having grown approximately 700% last year, tripled our headcount, and anticipate further significant expansion due to increasing demand. Our product is proven in production, offering high accuracy, swift deployment, and an operator-friendly experience that facilitates real factory rollouts beyond pilot phases. This role is a unique opportunity to capitalize on existing momentum with major customers and established deployments. The primary objective is to drive growth across California by converting warm introductions into live factory projects, scaling initial successes into comprehensive rollouts across multiple lines and sites, and accelerating expansions. You will address real-world technical, operational, and organizational constraints that impact velocity. The demand for AI outcomes in manufacturing is high, and this role offers a tangible way for factories to implement AI, directly improving yield, scrap rates, throughput, and labor efficiency.

Requirements

  • Technical foundation in engineering, computer science, robotics, controls, computer vision, automation, or manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience building, deploying, testing, or troubleshooting real systems.
  • Exposure to field environments, manufacturing, or live deployments.
  • Experience translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders (customer-facing, project teams, leadership).
  • Ability to think clearly, communicate well, and solve real-world problems.
  • Strong communication ability: can explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Problem-solving mindset: digs into root causes, doesn't jump to solutions.
  • Hands-on technical experience: built, deployed, tested, or troubleshot real systems.
  • Curiosity about how things work: wants to understand the 'why' behind problems and solutions.
  • Real-world exposure: field experience, manufacturing environment, or live system deployment (not just simulation or coursework).
  • Initiative and drive: owns problems and figures things out rather than waiting for direction.
  • Based in or rooted in the Bay Area: has relationships and genuine connection to the region's industrial and tech ecosystem.
