About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home support to aging adults in San Francisco. Caregivers help clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, errands, and companionship. TheKey describes itself as the largest provider of private-pay in-home care for aging seniors in North America and emphasizes caregiver support, dignity and respect, and quality of life for clients. The position offers pay of $22–$25 per hour, flexible scheduling, and full-time or part-time availability. Benefits and other eligibility details may vary by state and location. Caregivers must comply with state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.

Requirements

At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help obtain registration upon hire.
Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must comply with state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Applicants must meet California fingerprint-identification requirements; a conditional offer may be rescinded for a non-exemptible conviction, subject to applicable law.

Responsibilities

Assist clients one-to-one with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and run errands, including grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through activities such as games and puzzles.
