About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers in San Francisco to provide one-to-one, in-home assistance to aging adults. The role offers pay of $22–$25 per hour, with full-time and part-time schedules available and hiring across all shifts. Caregivers support clients’ daily needs and provide social and emotional companionship in their homes. TheKey describes itself as the largest provider of private-pay in-home care for aging seniors in North America. It offers caregiver support through local teams and management, training, and career development opportunities. Caregivers must meet applicable state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States. California fingerprint identification is required as a condition of employment; a conditional offer may be rescinded if an applicant has a non-exemptible conviction, consistent with applicable laws.

Requirements

At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
HCA registration with the State of California, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help obtain registration after hire.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Must comply with state background-screening requirements; California fingerprint identification is required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients one-to-one with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Provide light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and run errands, including grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through activities such as games and puzzles.
