About The Position

The Virtual Patient Companion provides continuous remote observation of patients across the Cleveland Clinic enterprise from a centralized monitoring location. Using a telemonitoring system, the companion observes multiple patients—up to 15–20 at a time—to support patient safety and prevent at-risk behaviors. The first response is to verbally redirect patients as needed, and nursing staff are promptly alerted through the alarm system or Vocera communication when an intervention is required. The position requires attention to detail, effective communication, and adherence to patient confidentiality and hospital policies. The posting describes this position as PRN, with varying hours as needed.
