About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a skilled violin educator to teach students of varying ages and skill levels. The teacher will create an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment, inspire students, and help foster their musical growth. The position also involves building relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and partnering with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching.

The listed pay is $17.00 per hour for non-teaching time, plus a teaching rate of $12–$24 per hour depending on background and experience. Musicians employed by Music & Arts may use gig leave to take time off to perform and return to their job afterward. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially on violin.

Nice To Haves

• Further teaching experience with related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
