About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a piano teacher to teach and inspire students in a supportive, engaging, and safe learning environment. The teacher will provide lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels, build relationships with students and parents through communication and progress updates, and collaborate with store teams on lesson scheduling and student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. This is a part-time position in Mamaroneck, New York. Pay is $17.00 per hour for non-teaching work and $12–$24 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially on piano.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience with voice or a related instrument.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments.
