About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a violin teacher to teach students of varying ages and skill levels in an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment. The teacher will build positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates; work with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention; and use musical expertise to inspire student growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The role is part-time and is based in Mamaroneck, New York.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of music teaching experience, especially on violin.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience with related instruments.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
